Medical Anthropology

My research concerns biomedical efforts to treat and prevent HIV. I am interested in HIV prevention as a mode of medical care and biotechnological innovations being developed in support of HIV prevention, including pharmaceuticals and vaccines. In this project ideas related to affect, citizenship and knowledge production as well as health, risk and the future flurry within public health systems, biomedical research labs, and clinical trials. My work is supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program.
