Early 20th century Anglo-American writers

Daniel Alipaz

Academic Position
Graduate Student

Bio:
I am a current PhD fellow at University College Falmouth: University of Arts London and a visiting student researcher at UC Berkeley. I have recently published articles on Bergson and Derrida, Merleau-Ponty's reading of Bergson, Bergsonian readings of Pound, and examinations of Deleuzean and Bergsonian methodology (via Calvino). My thesis is a hermeneutic engagement into how a comparative critical analysis of Bergsonian durée and the concept of ‘writing,’ as propounded in Derrida’s critique of phenomenology, can open up understandings of how early 20th century Anglo-American writings methodologically express concepts that are symptomatic of qualitative change.
Why You Joined the Lab:
I joined the lab in order to deepen my critical understandings of a relationship between philosophy and literature.
