Bio:
I received a BA in Philosophy from U.C. Berkeley, a PhD from Northwestern University, and I have studied in Paris, Berlin, and at The Institute For Social Research at the University of Frankfurt. My dissertation provides an interpretation and defense of the hermeneutic conception of the self in Heidegger’s 'Being and Time'. By focusing on Heidegger's attention to the social dimensions of human identity, I argue for the superiority of his view over other influential positions in contemporary philosophy.
