I am a first-year graduate student in the Department of History studying the environmental history of East Africa during the early 20th century, particularly along the Swahili coast of Kenya and Tanzania.

Bio:
I'm from Shasta County, California, studied history and anthropology at UC Irvine, and am currently a graduate student in the department of history at Berkeley. I use a range of archives in Britain, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, the United States and Zambia to research the emergence of a 'politics of wildlife' in eastern and central Africa during the colonial era. At Berkeley I have GSId for African, European, environmental, and human rights history courses.
