
This working group intends to examine the relation of philosophy and literature. Focusing on the methodolocial approaches to reading philosophy with literature, literature with philosophy, philosophy as literature, and literature as philosophy. The group is composed of a diverse group of interdisciplinary scholars ranging from the Classics, Rhetoric, Comparative Literature, English, Spanish and Near Eastern Studies departments, with interests ranging from Greek models of mind, selfhood and embodiment to censorship and the modern novel.
